/me goes back and re-reads fine print with old man glasses on... uh yep - you are, of course, correct sir!

I also notice tht the artwork remains under the artist's copyright.... so if one cared to get their consent then the art could be used as well.

Unfortunately, I've heard there's bad blood with some of the DGP artists (Blair Reynolds in particular) because they were never properly paid for some of their work. So unless Marc/FFE is willing to take on some of DGP/Roger Sanger's outstanding debts (which I can pretty much guarantee isn't going to happen) the chances of these artists granting permission for a reprint seems vanishingly small. However all of the above is just a rumor (picked up, IIRC, on these very message boards!) and may very well be incomplete or untrue.

Is this not what Issue 3/4 at the bottom of Hunter's list refers to? I sort of thought so. Yes, I want all 4 issues of MTJ (only could ever find one at the time....). I can live without the art, though I did think some of the MT artists were quite good. Still, battling HeWhoShallNotBeNamed for any sort of rights just isn't worth the cycles. Maybe he'll experience an epiphany and sell the rights to someone who actually loves the work enough to see it republished.

to me , the ( considerable ) value of mt is for the the added tables / detail to be used in the ct setting ( just how long does it take to get to 100d....? ) . i am not really a rebellion fan . i think you should think about marketing this to classic players / buyers as well ....?

I'll buy the ROM, and I'd buy a Dead Tree MT Core, especially if it was the core 4 rather than core 3. Specifically, PM, IE, RM, Ref'sComp.

Errata bound in, if not integrated.

Oh, yesssss a dead tree of the full four rule books would be exquisite.

I'll buy whatever ships, but I'd pay a boatload more $$$ for a hardcopy of those four books.
