MegaTraveller CDRom?

Would you be interested in purchasing such a CDRom for $40.00?

Now, I've voted "yes" long ago and I'd pay stupid amounts for this cd as I still think that a milleau free MT is the best of all worlds...

But by the same token, it's really nice to see an Avery post once again - it seems to have been awhile. And like others, I am concered about reprints although in my case I am far more concered with the T2k reprints. How do we balance all these issues?

Marc, would it be possible for you to write an article/news release explaining what you hope to accomplish with in the next 2 - 4 years? I, personally, have no intention of holding you to it, but I'd appreciate at least a fantasy of when you hope for some of these things to ship.

There is more than one GDW book that I possess as a photocopy, mostly under your old policy. Over the past few years, I have been able to throw them away as the reprints have become available. I'd really like to get to a place where I only own legal GDW materials.

Thanks,

William

I voted yes. Why?

I still use the MT rules. Do I have some house rules? Yes. But they are small tweaks not outright re-writes of sections and I like that.

After playing a few sessions with MT rules again I sit back and find myself amazed at the simplicity for the players and the level depth for the referee. I know all the problems including errata and design issues but still what fun!

I have always wanted Knightfall and Arrival Vengence. However, there is no way I can see paying ebay prices for those things.

This would be an incredible addition to my role-playing experience.

Yes Please! Since the original issue I have been waiting to put my money down for a corrected reissue possibly with the "edited" material. So put me down in the yes group. Mega Traveller took a lot of hits because of the errata and misprints. I think its time to see the full system.

Given the amount of interest this thread is generating, I wonder if Avery would consider making T5 set in the Rebellion milieu?

This way it would connect up with the efforts of many CT enthusists who would want to see continuity in the Traveller universes preserved and canonistas would have a field day creating new information for a Shattered Imperium.

Welcome to CotI's version of the rpg-net factor ;) . 83 people on an internet forum devoted to Traveller posting to a thread on whether a cdrom (not a printed product) is viable do not the gaming public make. (and I doubt 83 people have posted in this thread)

Agreed, Casey.

Avery's going to do what he's going to do, and I only hope that, whatever he does, I can get MT reprints out of it. We are but a small vocal contingent and less than one percent of the market he's selling to.

Still, we are an enthusiastic small vocal contingent.

We Can Hope,
Flynn
