MegaTraveller CDRom?

Would you be interested in purchasing such a CDRom for $40.00?

Go to page '2' on this topic to see the list of included material.

To anser your question, no. Only material published by GDW is included. No material by DGP would be, or even can be, included. So items like the alien books, Starship Operator's Manual, and World Builders Handbook would NOT be included.

What about MT Journal 3 and 4 which are copyright GDW?

If so then the Domain of Deneb data in MT Journal 3 is copyright GDW.

OK, forgive my ignoranace, but did GDW publish any rules for creating alien characters for MT? </font>[/QUOTE]Nope none at all that I know of unless they did some work in the Megatraveller Digests, duh looking back days later DGP did the MT Digests.

That if why I use Travgen or MTCG to generate alien characters for MT. Ugh.

Trav gen comes with some very nice help text explaining careers for different races and the modifiers to physical characteristics and even skill lists.

Been knocking around the idea of putting together my own hand-made document on Alien gen for MT for people that like rolling up a character by hand.

For alien char gen for MT you need either
DGP Vilani and Vargr (for Vargr) or DGP Solomani and Aslan (For Aslan) (IMO these books are the two greatest casualties of the Roger Sanger dispute)

OR

adapt the CT Alien modules (now usefully published by FFE) by adjusting the basic character generation tables to incorporate the skills hike-up in MT basic Chargen. The advanced char gen stays the same.

If I could get a hold of cats and rats, without giving up a kidney, I'd surely do so. It is indeed meet to bemoan the loss of these works.....

The CT aliens modules adapt pretty easily too.

Since the system won't let me vote, I'll put my Cr2 right here -- and the answer is a resounding YES. Want the CD. Don't care if it comes packaged in a box of Raisin Bran, I still want the CD. And I want everything, absolutely everything on it. Even stuff which doesn't exist; want that too.

Greedy, greedy, greedy.

Something like this would cause me to drop some cash in a heartbeat, and I'm one cheap bastard. However, the errata must be in place, or I think I'd be wasting my money.
