I've noticed a few Marylanders here. So just for the heck of it, I figured I'd do a Marylander roll call.
Here I am. Sitting in Columbia.

And dude... you've never played GURPS?!?!?

Ahhh... that's pretty much our system of choice for most everything... though we do tend to flip back and forth between it and the latest version of D&D.Yeah, go figure - I have abunch of G:T supplements, but never got into the whole GURPS thing...
Sure. Though my intent was I was thinking maybe of looking to get together with some of the locals to see Star Trek XI at some point, then talk Trav, or possibly looking to recruit some players for either a game of Federation Commander or something else some day in the future.Grew up in the Gaithersburg area, but I've since moved & am now in NC. I do visit my family in MD every few months if that counts...
Jeez, all of you are in Southern MD. I had hopes for the upstate, Elkton area.
Whoa, that's quite a drive...I'm in Columbia I'm running MGT in N. Virginia.

Hahaha... actually, I used to, sorta. Many of my old college buddies went to Saint Mary's, so I spent more time down there than most. Being a 1680s-1720s reenactor, I find Saint Mary's City to be one of my favorite places on Earth.Southern? Nah, Columbia's Central. We don't run with that south MD crowd.![]()
You know... when travelling north, I don't mind the distance so much. The big obstacle is the tolls. Between Columbia and New Castle, there's what... three or four places along I95 they hit you up for money.South of Baltimore makes it like an hour and a half away, give or take 20 minutes, not what I was hoping for.
For the record, my family is originally from Crisfield, over on the Eastern Shore.
I live near New Castle, in Delaware
Yay GURPS!In WV, over by Hagerstown in western MD. GURPS and MGT fan.
