How/Where did you get your first Ship?

My first PC ship, a retired S-Type received mustering out, is still kicking around MTU. My players have run into it several times with my first Scout character at the helm. It's been tricked out for smuggling with radar-absorbant panels, ECM emitters, and a sensor decoy launcher in the air raft bay. Most of the staterooms have been converted for use as storage compartments. The computer was salvaged from a Gazelle found in orbit of a T-Tauri variable, the crew fried by hard radiation; it works fine most of the time, except for the occasional mis-jump, and holds a lot more fun programs. The turrent mounts two Aslan rail guns and a chaff/sand launcher. She still leaks fuel from an old battle wound; she took a good shot from a corsair right before maiking a jump and the patch never sealed up right.

Boy, the fun we had in that ship ...

The old fashion way....

("You stole it!" you say :p) No, the other way, the original way, Mustering out, cool Ref, oh and a really great Starwright! *shrugs* Oh and some famili connections, people know me, owe me, I owe them, it's complex. :D

Keeping it running is gonna be the hard part...

i usualy DM for star wars DND, im converting it to be more of a traveller though.

my players hate me because i keep giving them the same ship. little do they know, on there next campaign im going to send them to a junkyard-planet to get there next ship. The Capison-38 "Starcrawler" is aptly named after the sandcrawler. though the interior resembles that of serenity, but in worse condition.

its a bucket of bolts with no guns and a limited turning capability! :toast:

We'er flying the ANNIC NOVA, but it's so slow. It's got a deep space scanner that isn't found anywhere else. So we're trying to sell the ship and move the scanner into our new ship. We've used the scanner to find something interesting in the Shionthy system, but getting to it is very dangerous. It might be a lost ship...
