Your life in role playing

1978: my shrink starts me on wargames - 1776.
1981 - summer before 7th grade, just after fine arts camp. Get invited to a game... ad&d, as red box was not quite out yet.
my first PC, an elf, was dead in minutes... but I was hooked.
By spring 1982, I was taking turns running, but using Basic's mode for multi-classing.

1983, we moved away - more than 20 miles. I find a group... playing Star Frontiers. I try, but the group's just too big. Get invited to a smaller group, playing Traveller. GM had pirated the tables - accurately - ships and combat, but extended the character gen tables. No one actually had the rules until Christmas 1983. I then had two copies. (Later, I got Spacemaster.)

Spring 1984, I ran a one shot of traveller.
Fall 1984, I took over the Ref duties as the Ref had graduated.
Fall 85, the group moved to the JROTC room. ALso played T2K 1e, Lost Worlds, and some attempts at Space Opera. Outside school, ran a one shot of SM and played a 4-session one-shot of RM. Also was running a friday night group at the local Roman Rite cathedral... mix of boardgames and one-shots.

Fall 86, I forget what I ran at school I was... but I ran one shots of GURPS Horror, Tales from the Floating Vagabond, AD&D1+UA, The Fantasy Trip, Robotech, and ElfQuest.

Traveller has always been a staple, a backbone from which I wandered, until about 2017...

My most recent 12 systems, in no particular order: Jackals, Daggerheart, Star Trek Adventures, ALIEN, T2K 4e, FFG Star Wars, Savage Worlds Deluxe with Deadlands Reloaded, Tales from the Loop, Dune, Fallout, The Fantasy Trip, Classic Traveller

CT was a one shot at a con.
