I pre-ordered on 1/3/08 and STILL haven't gotten my bonus pack.
I actually received mine in my mailbox only 3 days after I placed my order. You might want to contact someone?

I pre-ordered on 1/3/08 and STILL haven't gotten my bonus pack.
I pre-ordered last December 16th, and I still haven't received the bonus pack. When I inquired on the boards around late January, I was informed that Marc was in "crunch mode" (my choice of words, not theirs), and a day or few later I did receive the email that indicated that the release was being pushed back until March.
I guess I assumed (knowing what that does to all involved), that the bonus pack and the goodies themselves would be shipped together, which I didn't have that big of an issue with. On the other hand, if folks are still receiving the bonus pack since that point in time, it may be time for me to write Marc directly and see if I was somehow overlooked....
Of course, March 1st is only a week or so away and its not like I haven't already waited this long. Guess I'll add the CT CDROM to his order queue, maybe I'll get them together.
T5 Cd-rom On Schedule For March 1
Hi.
Has anyone heard if the Cd-rom is on schedule for March 1 or delayed further. I sent an email to farfuture. Did not get a response. I preordered and got my bonus info (thanks farfuture), but obviouly I'm looking for the beef of T5 CDrom.
Also, since I'm new to Traveller (Actually I should say I finally came back) The last time I played was Megatraveller, that's how long. Will T5 bring something substnatively new in terms of the setting?
I hope it isn't like Deadlands (former fan) when it was Pinncacle still it seemed to get stale after being diluted with variations of it (Gurps,D20). It seemed like same old same old with different rules but nothing added substantively to the setting, which I feel is important in the sense of moving forward. I had the same feeling about Traveller when I saw Gurps, D20, Hero, mongoose (forthcoming) and reprints of the classics/various iterations of it since and I don't know what else. I picked up T5 last December after finding it on farfuture and I preordered admittedly for nostalgia. But before that I have to admit I was kind of intimidated with all those titles out there.

See my post above - I pre-ordered very recently (February 18th). I received an e-mail from Marc Miller stating, "CD ROM ships March 1st or so".
I thought I read somewhere that the setting was a non-Imperial one, down Solomani/Aslan way. Not sure if there is any truth to it though.

I just got an email from Marc...it's going to be end of April. See below:

I appreciate Marc is a one man operation making his 'dream' game, but you don't ask for money unless you're ready to ship. A three month delay implies the game is still in HEAVY development, especially since the CD-ROM is intended as a 'beta' in the first place. This makes it sound like he's not in Alpha yet.
No, I'm not asking for my money back -- what would be the point? I'll just be paying it again in April. But it is rather frustrating.
I know this sounds like a conspiracy theory, but Mongoose Trav has been pushed back to April also. Do you think there is some sort of agreement with Marc and Mongoose not to release T5 before their product? It would definitely affect sales for Mongoose if T5 came out first. Some may not be able to afford both, and if T5 gets good reviews, some may jump ship so to speak and forget about MongTrav.

I won't cancel. Like the other poster, why bother when I'm going to buy it anyway in April? But I have to admit I am disappointed.
I don't suppose Marc could give us diehards some sort of bone with may be a sizeable excerpt or playtest version on whatever he has now even with all typos, edit snages, etc. via downalod at his website. Wishful thinking but gotta be wishful.

I agree. I'd be damn happy with a "Work in progress" version. The waiting is killing me.

No. I don't believe that really at all. As another poster said, Marc has been totally upfront with him and also with me. if there were the case, Marc would probably simply say that there is an arrangement in place. No, I think he's flat out trying to get the best product out he can. As someone said it is the "dream game", but still a beta.
Still wouldn't mind a "bone" at all. Even a small section that might be pretty much done, Just a little itty bit, so I don't go screaming off round the neighbourhood in frustration...
I didn't say they weren't, I would agree after following Mongoose's forum/site.
What I was speculating (only) is if their was a connection with T5 and Mongoose being delayed to the same month. Of course it could simply just be an unrelated coincidence, I actually believe it was. It just would have made good business sense for Mongoose to have asked for just such a requirement when they obtained a license from Marc Miller. I didn't mean it would have been something wrong by either side, not at all, and was pure speculation on my part.
