Why did Ley Sector change?

And the Heretics of the T-20 "New-World-Order", gathered and feasted 40 days and forty nights...and the BBQ was good, and plenty in the new lands of Gateway Domain, where they dwelt therein...[/QUOTE]

Mmm... (swallows)* Emilio's a genius, Liam - where *did* you find him?

ObOn-Topic:
Is it me, or are the K'kree the perfect large-scale bad guys for a campaign - they are an alien race that really does want to kill you just because you are you (though I bet vegitarians are getting the last laugh now, huh?).

Judges guild originally had the licence for Ley, Gateway, Crucis Margin and one whose name I forget. Somewhere along the line the lost the licence and the four sectors were de-canonised. I don't know why, but the sectors with those names now were redone.
Well, bummer. I just bid on a JG Ley Sector on E-Bay...Oh well, there's $3 down the drain...

Gunner: Welcome to the club. I did the same thing a few months back. That's what inspired by original post.

I bought up the JG stuff here on the store-not so much fer the UWP's (which I knew were gettin the "make-over" a wee bit), but fer the adventures set in the region...and the minor aliens in them!

One thing I did note, is that the Sydite homeworld in the T/20 rulebook is listed as "Sopater", at least as far as the Sydites themselves are concerned. I recently thumbed through my copy of the old JG Ley sector, and noted a world with the same name, which is apparantly the name of a homeworld of a minor human race, no real info given other then they are at odds with the Imperium, have a small interstellar empire of their own, and that their name is similar to the name "Sydite". (Not exactly the same, and I don't remember the exact name...would have to dig back up the Ley sector info). Anyway, my implied question is did the old JG Ley Sector Sopater inspire the present T/20 Spoater/Sydites?

Here ya go...

Sydymic Empire Subsector, Ley Sector. Judges Guild version circa 1980:
Only Arodites in this Subsector owes allegiance to the Imperium, all other worlds being claimed or disputed by the Sydymic Empire. The Sydymites are another minor variant race of Humans, distinguished primarily by an average height of 2.4 meters (8 feet). First contacted on their homeworld of Sopater in -2174 Imperial (2347 AD), these folk soon spread throughout the Subsector. Employed principally as soldiers and technicians, the Sydymites took the opportunity during the Collapse of the Rule of Man to become independent. Minor clashes with Imperial Forces took place over the next several millenia as they developed their own culture and technology. Major expansion and the declared establishment of the Sydymic Empire took place while the Imperium was otherwise occupied by the Civil War. Temporary accomodation has been reached but it appears most likely there will be futher clashes.

Sopater - 2929 - A567899-B - N - Sydymic Capital - G

The Sydymic empire encompases 22 systems total.
