Tech Level Question

I also see the tech leves have changed a while with time. In CT, fusion power and gravitics came at TL 8. In MT (and AFAIK latter versions) they both came at TL 9.

Aha! I never noticed that in all these years. Is that why so many people seem to believe present day is TL8?

Back in the old days of CT it was clear - when you can harness fusion and gravity you're at TL8 - until then you're TL7, you ground-hugging, fossil-fuel primitives.
