Nope, the power plant would be twice the size.
You could downgrade the onboard jump fuel to only jump1 I suppose.

One parsec range would make it a coastal battleship, or let's call it a littoral battleship.
Yes. The PP is twice as large, but you save a few percent on jump drive, armour and power for the meson screen. You can still squeeze in a Meson S. Secondary armament would be lacklustre.Under HG81, is a 100kt battleship built along similar lines feasible at TL 14?
"Coastal" means nothing in space.Both good suggestions, but we really don't have any good choices in historical nomenclature to borrow for the design, do we? The predreadnought era's 1st and 2nd class battleship designations could be stretched I suppose, but it really would be nice to come up with something that refers to the ship's "short legs" just as "coastal battleship" does.
Another issue is that ship design algorithms in each new edition would require a new calculation to rebalance the ship.
Quick note, the Sylea class is not listed on any of the lists found here;

I don't have a wiki account, and am not interested in one, but someone may want to edit this.
This is a limitation of the Wiki list generation process. The Title says "Representative" for this reason. We know the list is incomplete. If it really bothers you (the plural you), I'll take another look at setup to see if I can make the lists inclusive.
I'm not bothered by it not being on the list. I am concerned that the old mainstay "bad boy" heavy hitter is losing its hold in official continuity.
Thanks.
