Stellar Reaches: New URL, Same Management...

Flynn

Good afternoon, All,

The free Stellar Reaches PDF fanzine, which supports Traveller T20 and Classic Traveller, has moved to its new website:
http://stellarreaches.nwgamers.org/

Thanks to tsykoduk of the TML and the folks over at NWGamers.org for hosting the website. They've done a fantastic job, and very quickly, too.

No more bandwidth issues with downloads! Yay!

Happy Travellin',
Flynn

It looks very nice in its new home.

Here's to many more issues

Cheers!

(Well, it's all I have to toast with... ;) )

I figure, at the end of each year, I'm going to ask myself the following two questions:

"Was it worth it?"

And if the answer is yes, then:

"Can you do it for another four issues?"

Four issues is the magic key, since that's how long it takes to cover a sector one quadrant at a time.

Then I have to decide what the next sector will be...

Looking forward to it,
Flynn

Good plan.

Looks very professional too. Though would you want something a bit more realistic than the green bubble planet in the top banner of the page??

Sure. The banner was put together by tsykoduk of nwgamers.org, and I am just appreciative to have the site. The blog software behind it is awesome for managing it.

Wow, news travels fast! A brief blurb about Stellar Reaches appeared on the front news page of ENWorld yesterday afternoon.

Thanks,
Flynn

Two submissions for the next issue are brewing here - one 7 pages long (The Solar Triumvirate, will be 8 pages with the Sol Sector and Known Space maps attached) and one 5 pages long (Ironmongery Expanded, will be atleast 7 pages when finished, maybe even 8 pages). I'll also send you a list of the civilian starships of the Solar Triumvirate later on this month, but they'll probably be for the 4th issue (they aren't complete, they're still graph paper, and you'll probably want to keep them for the fourth issue anyway).

Oh, and Jame, my submission to YTU is almost ready - expect it this weekend

Looking forward to checking them out. BTW, how are you creating your Sol sector map? If you are looking for tools, I'd highly suggest J Greely's sec2pdf. Here's the URL for how to install it and use it:
http://dotclue.org/t20/

Hope this helps,
Flynn

I have it on paper and I'm going to re-build it in Paint Shop Pro 8. I'll be posting only the Sol Subsector in this issue, as most of my universe map is very sketchy.

Ok, the Solar Triumvirate article is ready, text-wise, including formatting and the Solar Triumvirate's banner; the starmaps (Sol subsector detailed map and Sol Sector political overview) is all that remains. Oh, the entire thing would be 9 pages, maps included - and I've already removed the Megacorporation section to another post (Stellar Reaches #4?). The whole thing is in Word2000 format.

If you really need this to be 8 pages long, I could cut the Sol Subsectorsector map, and leave only the Sol Sector overview - detailed starmaps will come in the next Stellar Reaches issue.

Oh, and is your E-Mail address jason.flynn.kemp@gmail.com ?

Submission received.
Am going to review it over the next few days and get back to you on contents. At first blush, it looks good, though.

Thanks,
Flynn
