Express Courier X-AB04 Dryad MCr56.7 [Arshani, Etran]

Disposition: In Service

Constructed using the 100 ton hull, the express boat is fitted with drives producing jump-4, but no maneuver drive. Fuel tankage is sufficient for one jump. The cramped bridge is complemented by a Model/4 computer. The ship has two staterooms; one is necessary for the single crew member, while the other can carry a passenger. More often, the pilot uses the second room for additional living space. There is a one ton cargo bay which is occasionally used to carry vital cargo such as vaccines or sophisticated repair parts.

Crew comfort: 0

What's this! An X-Boat within tonnage? AND a power plant?

Now you've gone and done it. TOTALLY outside of canon.;)

I'm impressed.

Ok CT you needed a PP the same size or larger than your M-Drive. But Jump was independent. Do you now need PP=drive for whichever is larger? Since they power the Jump drive off the PP now (CT the jump drive had it's own built in hot fusion plant) it makes perfect sense. However I have not actually seen the citation in the rules about that.

In CT the power plant always had to equal the LARGER of the maneuver drive or jump drive.

The Xboat was an aberration.

wrong. In 1st ed CT (pre 1981) the PP only had to exceed the Maneuver Drive.
Hence, the X-Boat.

Forgot that one.

Still, if the PP had to exceed the MD would it not have required a PP 1?

(As an aside, the Lenat/Eurisko ships without maneuver drives were perfectly canon. [I've thought of them as "maned mines" of a sort.])

Equal or exceed. Sorry. Was on the tablet and in a hurry.
