Number of decks calculation

Well at 2 squares per dTon, the AHL deckplans only cover 66358/2 = 33179 dTons, and it's a 60K ton ship.

Oh well!
Thanks for doing the research. It looks like -44.7% is the new +/- 10%.

This makes me realize that designing a ship of a certain size or larger will be quite the undertaking. Might be better to design the ship and just imagine the interior, or just design the decks that are necessary to the campaign. Or don't let the Players Characters get on a ship that size at all!
 
There are features that the deck plans don't show. Look at the external view and compare with what we have the plans for, there is quite a lot of stuff external to the deck plan area.
 
There are two huge engine bays on either side that are not represented on the deck plans, and then there is the spinal "sail" which again is not on the deck plans. The floor plans we have only show the easily accessible crewed decks.
