The T4 adventure compilation Anomalies opens with a sample ship for the PCs to use, the Raptor. The ship is converted from a raider vessel to a merchant by the early Imperial Navy, then sold to reliable merchant adventurers for their use. The T4 stats are for a 400 ton TL-12 ship with J2, M3, 4 lasers, 10 staterooms and 8 low berths, and 100 tons of cargo space.
This ends up being to the Fat Trader what the Far Trader is to the Free Trader, a J2 version sacrificing cargo for range, but it sacrifices even more cargo space for armor, a faster maneuver drive, and extended operations. In a more peaceful time, dropping to 4 weeks operation, no armor, and reducing the maneuver drive to B/M1 (and dropping the power plant to D/P2) would make another 86 tons available for cargo.
I'm actually pretty happy with how simple it was to make this ship a relatively close approximation of the original. I was expecting to have to make hard choices to get close to the original, but the only tweak I had to do was doubling the armor and the weeks of operation from my first rough build.
