Darrian Far Trader. Based on a Solomani design, the 400 ton free trader is a moderate-sized ship built most often for Tharnitia Denus, the main transport company for the confederation. It mounts jump drive-F, maneuver drive-B, and power plant-F, giving it a performance of 1G and jump-3. Fuel tankage of 124 tons supports 2 weeks of maneuver and one jump-3.

It mounts jump drive-N, maneuver drive-Y, and power plant-Y, giving a performance of jump-3 and 6G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 370 tons supports one jump-3 and 2 weeks' operation. The bridge has a computer model/5 fib. There are 16 staterooms and no low berths. The corvette carries significant firepower, including a particle accelerator and a salvo rack in bays. It carries one gig in a minimal hangar. 14 tons are devoted to the cargo hold. The ship is a winged lift body/submersible hull, with landing wheels, legs, and lifters, and grapples for docking in space. It also has fuel scoops and a purifier.
