So your projected skill list is by no means exhaustive? Otherwise I don't see 2 pages for short descriptions being enough.
I wondered too, so I did it. One line descriptions (yeah, that's terse). One and a third pages. Sixty-four skills. Exhaustive. No guidance on use (rabbit holes); simply "what they are".
Knowledges are another two pages of same, already in the BBB. That's what I modeled them on. And I didn't do the Talents.
Some examples.
Actor. Expertise in the dramatic arts, and the ability to conceal one’s personality, motives, and emotions.
Forensics. Investigation, including legal matters and crime scenes.
Jack Of All Trades ("JOT"). Wide experience, allowing attempts at tasks for which the character otherwise has no skill.
Survival. Remaining alive in the face of dangerous situations or locations.
I added the list to the pile of
Player's Book stuff to hand to Marc when he finishes personal combat, along with a weapon and armor list with text descriptions, a page of starship summaries ("Book 1 style"), my version of Don's "one page guide to the task system", a page of pre-generated characters, the "Hopship" amber zone, and an abbreviated 7 page "personal" equipment list suited to players.
