Some more worlds in the Keum area. Again, commenst welcome. Might be doing a webpage with the stuff anytime.

Emsingale (0415 Keum/Massilia B8B8999-D): This world, renamed by a terran scout during the Second Imperium and better known to their inhabitants as Banoda), has a nitrogen atmosphere with an ammonia taint which turns it corrosive, and is covered in 80% by oceans of nitric acid. There is no free oxygen in the atmosphere, although there are traces of deadly nitrogen oxides. For humans, the world is rather hostile. To their inhabitants, though, it is only mildly uncomfortable. For example, the atmospheric taint is taken care of with simple filter masks, as the local sophonts are Keumi originally transplanted from Keum (0815 Keum) to this planet by the First Imperium Vilani, in order to help the economic development of the area.
There is native, unintelligent life in Emsingale. Animals makes use of the ammonia in the air for their metabolism, producing liquid nitric acid as a breakdown product. Vegetals make use of the inverse reaction, taking nitric acid from the soil and releasing ammonia to the atmosphere). Local life, though, is unedible for Keumi, and hence the Vilani introduced lifeforms from Keum, appropriately adapted to Emsingale. The metabolism of these imported lifeforms is based on a reaction which makes use of nitrogen and produces urea (for animals) and the inverse one for vegetals. An attempt to introduce more variety from the Keumi homeworld made in the first years of the Third Imperium resulted in an ecological catastrophe of epic proportions. As a consequence, even today, any import of offworld lifeforms is banished.

Keum (0815 Keum/Massilia A6A198A-E): Keum is Massilia’s Sector Capital and homeworld of a minor alien race of nitrogen-breathers, the Keumi. Actually, Sector and subsector administration is handled partially in Keum and partially in Uson (0717 Keum), two parsecs away and a far more hospitable world for humans.
Keum has an exotic atmosphere made of mainly of nitrogen, with a number of trace compounds, but practically no oxygen. Native animal life, including the Keumi, inhale nitrogen and produce urea as a metabolic breakdown product. Vegetal life makes use of the inverse reaction (nitrogen photosynthesis), taking urea from the soil and releasing nitrogen to the atmosphere.
Keum’s government relies on an efficient civil service bureaucracy for planetary administration, but is combined with democratic systems at the regional level.
Although the major corporations usually establish their sector headquarters in Uson, they all have heavy commercial interests in this heavily industrialized world. Keum is an Imperium leader in the design and production of enclosed/pressurized vehicles for use in exotic atmospheres, as e.g. the celebrated Keum Grav APC.

Uson (0717 Keum/Massilia A6847CD-C): Uson is a pleasant world, except for some large desert regions. Its proximity to Keum, Massilia sector capital but an exotic-atmosphere alien race homeworld, has made it the natural location for many imperial offices and corporation headquarters (including Hortalez et Cie Massilia HQs).
Uson suffered an ecological catastrophe early in its history which marked the world’s mindset. The ecological equilibrium between the native and the imported species, and the ecosystem’s preservation, is viewed as an issue of utmost importance. The world is governed by a charismatic oligarchy of “Keepers” which must combine an economical expertise on sustainable development with deep ecological and biological knowledge.
Uson is frequently a shock for interstellar travelers. Its cities are mixed with a maze of vegetal structures, and local animals are frequent in them. Its law level reflects the harsh conservation laws, with extreme penalties on any charge of pollution. Outsiders have been executed in the past after accidentally killing local animals. These laws are the reason behind the world’s classification as an amber zone. However, once the ecological mindset is accepted, visitors rarely have problems in Uson.

This is from TD11 / Knightfall's LD:

Avnira Tree:
The Avnira tree originated in the Arrilla system (0112 Massilia). It was first transplanted in 689 to Jokkat. Since then it has been gradually spread through the Keum and Vaait Subsectors in Massilia. The chief reasons for the Avnira's popularity are its great beauty and the ease with which it is transported and transplanted.
Only problem is... there is NO world named Jokkat in the whole Massilia sector. I guess this detail slipped when names were given to all worlds in the sector. Ah well. What would you people do, ignore that (and change the "canon" entry) or give a rationale for what is clearly a mistake? I occurs to me e.g. that Jokkat might not be the mainworld of its system.

I'm generally more in favor of fixing obvious mistakes/inconsistencies (especially IMTU) rather than trying to come up with an elaborate handwaves/rationales.

Um, what was the adventure "Knightfall" about? I hesitate to say that "obviously" it's in Keum/Massilia subsector, but other than that where is it?
