Life Support Type V-a (Endurance)

I have a question about lifesupport at increasing tech levels. We start out a TL 8 with a type V-a life support(alge vats). The volume is 100m3 per person with a 25 person minimum. This provides water, food, and air for an unlimited time. With the increase in TL, what would be the reduceing factor in size and/or min capacity?

These figures came out of T4FFS.

depends upon several factors:

1) with increasing TL, are there better methods for circulation of the needed chemistry? (Probably)

2) with increasing TL, are the more efficient algal forms to use in the equipment? (Probably not until TL 13+)

3) With increasing TL, are sytems more resilient to localized failures? (Lesser redundancy needed... more efficiency... probably)
