Kickstarter Books? Are they still shipping?

Thanks.Those last few comments helped soothe the burning sensation a little.
I too have received much enjoyment over the years from Traveller.
But I too have paid for these years.Many times over.
Starting with many,many copies of the LBB's. Bought the re-releases from Far Future, the long books. Bought everything MegaTraveller. Bought Traveller the New Era.Bought T4.Bought Gurps.Bought T20.
So I really struggle with the idea that I am somehow "Giving Back" for these years of sometimes good,sometimes not so good moments through Kickstarter.
I have given til it hurts and don't want to hurt anymore.
I thought this was to be the definitive version for the fans.
Well I have been a fan.
And the reward for my pledge of faithfulness? Watching as somebody else, who didn't pledge, gets the definitive version, for a cheaper price than I did, and got it before I did.
I'm not asking for anything, and I am certainly not deriding anyone, so I don't want to offend the zealots.
Been through that already on other boards.
Just feels good to vent and rant.
I'm gonna just take my sour grapes, make some bitter,nasty wine, and drink a toast by myself to what might have been.

Anybody just tired of waiting for their copy should just consider buying one from the Ebay links I posted to hold them over.

I felt much better once I had gotten a copy as I am in the state directly above Marc's and hadn't received my KS copy yet people in other countries had and they are selling them in many stores now as well as Ebay.

I feel that I am supporting Marc even more because someone paid him for the copy I bought on Ebay.

I appreciate having an extra to take with me while my Marc (The Guy that actually created Traveller!!!) signed copy remains safe at home to be read before I sleep.

Ok I am still waiting, but Patiently. (Fingers Crossed for the "Low lottery").
When I was in the Army a long time ago I got lots of practice at "hurry up and wait".
Am I upset? No. Worried? not really. Anxious? you bet!

I'm thankful that this reward will get to me before the Ogre designers edition even has its first shipping day in late October. Mind you the Ogre KS was a few months before ours and they have not received a thing yet or will for several months.


Patience Guys, it will come. And yes the book in the store looks dreadfully inviting.
But so far I have managed to make my patience rolls with out mishap and will resist the urge to buy the Candy like Tome of goodness.

Can anyone tell me if they received their package without getting a shipping notice?
I know Aramis said earlier that we should get a shipping notice but I'm sure I read somewhere that people were getting their package without any confirmation of shipping.
I'm curious about this as the (self imposed) deadline date of June 30 is approaching and I have had no notice yet.
Maybe it has been posted. Maybe not. I don't know.
If anyone could answer the above question I would appreciate it.

Happened at least once:

"Came home tonight and the T5 box was waiting. I have gotten no email confirmation that it was sent."

EDIT: posts #106, #107, and #124 in that same thread are more instances. Two of the four were international (Alberta and Dublin), and the other two didn't mention where they were.

Ah well, Aramis stated earlier that we will get a confirmation with tracking number.
In my last communication from Marc he said: "Your order is working its way to the front of the queue. I expect to ship this yet this week." (June 18th)

Looks like I am right at the back of the queue, although I ordered on April 2nd I doubt I was the last to order.

You should have a shipping tracking number with your notice of shipping. If you haven't gotten that notice via email, then either the email was wrong or it hasn't shipped yet.

I suppose my concern is that if a small percentage of packages were shipped without the email notice then how will I know that my package has been sent? Do I have to wait until the end of July before making any further enquiries?

I certainly don't expect to jump the queue, but if the package was shipped a month ago then I will need to make inquiries with customs here in Ireland to find out where it may be.

If the package has not yet been shipped that's fine, I understand the situation. I also ordered the dice after I ordered the book so if you want to ship both items together in the same box that's good for me.

The way Marc generates the mailing labels, it automatically sends the emails, provided he has one attached to the order. If it's not the right one, or if it's trapped by spam filters, the person might not get the email, but the email is automatic.
