JTAS Contest 25, The Ultimate, Modern Luxury Liner

I'm not ship designer or anything, but I'm just randomly curious here - why is this labelled a "JTAS Contest"? I mean, why don't we have a CotI-specific design contest - they are different boards after all, and not everyone has access to JTAS.
Or is the idea that it's really a general design contest open to people from JTAS and CotI and anywhere else? But even if that was the case, most people still don't have access to JTAS.
And ooh, this is my 1000th post here!

Some members decided to post JTAS contest updates on COTI to attract more input from multiple design grps. I joined coti because its cheap and discusses more than Gurps. To submit designs ya need to be a member but anyone can discuss or provide input, or vote. Its also been mentioned in Yahoo groups.
But hey I just won contest 24.
I suppose someone could start a COTI design contest....

That's the thing... why port a contest from JTAS when we can have our own here that can attract more people?
I think we should have our own design contest, separate from the JTAS one (besides, two contests out there means more ships being built, right?
).
