how many sectors are in the third imperium?

There are 35 full or partial sectors as part of the Third Imperium.

There are 16 Subsectors as part of a sector.

A pocket empire is a small (2 to 30) group of systems all controlled under one government. There are many, like the Darrian Confederation and Swords Worlds, scattered around the outside of the Imperium.

Then question is how many systems are subsector.

systems in subsector

How many?

as few as NONE to as many as 80 (possible, but unlikely); so that gives you an average of 40....

Most "normal density" seem to be in the high 30's

TTB ls 50% chance (4-6 on 1d6), with allowance for DM ±1 for local density variation. That gives 26 — 40 — 53 as the median numbers by density.

Other editions give variations on the concept.

10 + y the game only gives us two subsector to play with. I wonder creative I can get comes to making my own!

well, rolling them up is easy, and rolling up the world stats is easy. determining what those worlds are, however, is a lot of work. which is why there are only two developed sectors out of 35 "rolled up" - the two developed are not yet fully developed.

try starting with a single world. develop its history and culture and people and setting. then try a "pocket empire" - a collection of a few worlds. then decide if you want to try a subsector.

Hi Thomas,

There are 35 full or partial sectors as part of the Third Imperium.

I don't ever count more than 28.

*** How did you come up with 35? What am I missing? ***

Very cool.

*** From which book does this definition come, please? ***

Thank you.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
