Houserules

SOC-12
So, what houserules would you use if you started a MT campaign today? I mean rules, not which setting to use.

2 rerolls of 1 die, useable during CG.
Skill receipts: roll die THEN pick table.
Add contacts based upon TNE.

Use Att/3 instead of att/5 as task DM
rase all task target numbers by 1.

Alter the pen table for easier memory and use:
Pen 0 - 0.1 AV = Dam x 0
Pen 0.1 AV -- 0.5 AV = Dam x0.1
Pen 0.5 AV -- 1 AV = Dam x0.5
Pen 1 AV -- 2 AV = Dam x1
Pen 2AV + = Dam x 2

Use T4 psionics rules.

Use T20 T&C tables and methods.

Use vehicular combat rules for starships, not the HG-variant.

I agree with Aramis about Skill receipt.
I also allow 1 extra roll, drop the lowest during stat generation.

Aramis, what is "Add contacts based upon TNE."?

I'm thinking of using the attrib/3 and TN+1 as well.

what I've done with CG have been doing the stats by the book. But, when rolling for skills I've used two dice and use the one you like. Roll, then choose table might be simpler.

The penetration table looks interesting.

Is there any problem with psi? How is T4?

What's T&C?

[embarrassed]Ahem [/embarrassed] as Aramis said in the last point of his post, the one at the bottom that wasn't there a while ago...
- use the vehicle damage rules and ship weapon tables given in the Player's book for ship to ship combat rather than the High Guard based system in the Referee's Handbook.

Are the Trade tables that different, and more interesting, in T20? I thought they were basically CT with a d20?
