Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
Turns out they are using the 2014 SRD for some reason. Also, from what a lot of us have seen in the baker page, it's dropping a lot of the setting and being human focused. I was about to drop $500 on the bundle but I'm having second thoughts at this point.

The CivX setting is a bonus setting, from what I gather, not what's in the rulebooks. The artwork they've shown for the rulebooks has droyne, hiver, aslan, humans, etc, so don't worry about them disappearing.

On the backerkit page, scroll down to ‘What Is Traveller’, and there’s an image with an Aslan and a vargyr and a bunch of humans. Down at Reward Tiers, Pledge Breakdown, is an Aslan designing a robot. The droyne and hiver were on promotional blogsites talking about the backerkit.

Thanks for the pointer, I missed that the first few times. I feel a little better about this, but I do wish they had went with the modern 5e SRD to maintain compatability with the other systems
Kinda defeats the purpose when people coming from D&D 5e still need to learn a different rule set that has already been abandoned.
