CT Only: Does anyone have a clean copy of the 1981 LBB boxed set

I found a company that will make one-off boxes for games and I'd like to recreate the 1981 boxed set and get them to make me one. But to do that, I need a great scan of the back of the box. Everyone I know with a copy has a "well-loved" copy that's pretty scratched up. They provided me scans, but I couldn't clean them up with the AI tools at my disposal. So, I'm really hoping someone out there still has a box in good shape and can do a nice 600 DPI can of the back for me.

If you’re happy we’re happy. Definitely a man that feeds obsession to a good result.

Bloomington and realistically is spelled wrong. Don’t know if that’s a scan artifact or not.

Nope, that's "Fat Fingers Andy" at it again. I also need to bold the word Traveller in the second paragraph. I'll fix that tomorrow and post a new image. I can provide a link to a PDF also, if anyone wants to print out a sticker and stick it over your existing box.

According to the LWB, the box is 6×9, so I made this image the same size.

Other suggested changes:
  • Change to "Who knows what the future holds?"
  • Change to "The basic rules set..."
  • "...available separately for advanced players."
Well done, really appreciate your hard work!

If you want to be petty the picture is slightly too small and the text slightly too large:

E.g. the first paragraph was originally narrower and eleven lines with a thinner(?) font.

Slightly thicker margins in the original? The picture has no margin, but wraps around the edge of the box.

Product number "301" placement and font?

Bottom: "Traveller™", not just "Traveller".

"Science-Fiction Adventure" smaller?

"P.O. Box 1645..." font and size?

Looks like I have homework to do tonight.

This would be easier if I actually had a box to measure. Can someone confirm that the box is 6×9 inches in size?

My good box is a '77 Edition, so there my be some size differences. The back cover is definitely different.
It measures:

WidthHeightDepth
Top outside6 1/8"9 1/8"1 9/16"
Top inside/bottom outside6"9"
Bottom inside5 7/8"8 7/8"1 1/2"

It is the same size as Car Wars Arenas and the white box edition of Castles and Crusades, but taller about 1/4" deeper than Car Wars 4th edition.

My box is the 1981 edition basic box bought around 1983-ish. The LBBs are of the 4th printing.

The top outside is 231 × 155 × 39 mm.
The bottom outside is 227 × 151 × 39 mm.
The cardboard is 1.1 mm thick with the glued on printed layer.

Ok, I know I said to please be nitpicky. But, I can't do a line for line recreation. The line breaks and word wraps will never line up without a ton of work.

I'm just happy I got a copy of the image that I could clean up using the Pixelmator Pro repair tool. I think the image is good enough.

In this image:

I widened and lengthened the image by 5 mm. I increased the canvas size and then used the "Repair" tool to expand the image. So, I guess technically, I used "AI" for that. I then moved the image to the left and top edges. I obviously can't "wrap it around the edge" on a flat image. So, this is as close as I could get it.

I fixed all the previously mentioned typos.

Changed the font of GDW's address to Perun (a clone of Univers) and changed the size.

Change the product number font size to 12 pt and moved it to a better position.

Now, if the stars align and I can actually recreate the entire box, and get a template made that others can use to make their own box, I'll need to add some text somewhere to say it's a recreation.
