Has anyone made the stats in CT for the Alien from the movies (and I mean the first two, I pretend the others don't exist)?

I haven't seen the JTAS article, but I imagine they don't correlate to the backstory in the movie Prometheus any more.
The movie Prometheus sheds light on the creatures origins and you wonder how the engineer-alien evolved into a human alien, the Prometheus version appears to be soft skinned, but already it's face-hugger spits acid for blood. The face-hugger too evolves, but notice it is already in "spider" form at the beginning of Alien 1, suggesting it has already assimilated a human, perhaps Dr Shaw, who knows.
The creatures evolve again in Alien 3, more raptor like, having gestated within a human child. It's interesting how the spawn will depend entirely on the host for the parasite, differing each time.
Presumably the sequel to Prometheus and penultimate prequel to Alien, will shed further light on the creatures. The story left us with Dr Shaw and the android David flying an engineer ship towards their homeworld.

No doubt. Prometheus made that clear.
There's a big part of me, though, that still wishes that we didn't know where they came from. They come from the deep, dark mystery of space. That's it.
I liked it better when the mystery was there and not so many questions were answered.
There's another version somewhere in a Challenge magazine (can't find it at the moment, dammit!). Probably one of the first two "Horror" issues, somewhere between #37 and #63.
Probably sometime before the Alien franchise got valuable enough that people worried about small issues like intellectual property.

Well, IIRC the original "Alien" guys got sued because it was too similar to a monster from "Voyage of the Space Beagle" by van Vogt.
I'm not sure I believe that that was the inspiration though -- the xenomorph is clearly based on a parasitoid wasp, which does basically the same trick with caterpillars instead of humans.

Alien borrowed heavily from Voyage of the Space Beagle and took elements from the Italian sci-fi/horror film Planet of the Vampires. Screenwriter Dan O'Bannon also recycled a bit from his own script for John Carpenter's Dark Star, specifically the battle with the alien beachball.
The connection to "Voyage of the Space Beagle" has been covered numerous times in numerous places. The idea definitely came from that story. In it, Ixtl, the alien antagonist, kidnapped crewmen, hid them in a secluded part of the ship, then implanted eggs into their torsos. The eggs would eventually hatch and make a meal of the hosts.
