CT to T20 conversions

I was recently looking over an old CT adventure, contemplating converting it to a T20 adventure. It requires quite a few non-combat, interpersonal skill checks.

A while back, someone posted a guideline for changing CT skill ratings to T20 skill ranks: a CT skill rating of 1 is equal to X T20 skill ranks, a rating of 2 is equal to Y T20 skill ranks, etc.

I have been unable to find the original thread via a search. Does anyone have that guideline saved anywhere, or have a link to the appropriate thread?

IIRC QLI folk have said 1 CT rank <-> 5 T20 ranks on CotI but I tend to use 4 T20 ranks as it better matches the d20 class max skill progression (8/4 at level 5, 13/6.5 at level 10). You'll likely have skill points left over either way and some of the CT skills really map better to T20 feats[+ skill points].

For mook stats, I recomend the TA 76 Gunmen if you don't already have it. It's mostly just mook stats but it come in very handy and has both CT and T20 stats.

FWIW I have a CT and a T20 version of a character posted on CotI. Chargen was done in CT first then ported to T20 tho the version posted had gained a level or two by that point IIRC. Might be helpful.

1 CT rank = 4 T20 ranks sounds about right. 5 T20 ranks is the level that synergy bonuses kick in, and having that equate to 1 CT rank just seems inappropriate.
