Durguu is the planet on my Knight of the Iridium Throne card. I noticed at Travellermap.com there is the following information:


3028 Durguu A57346B-D Ni O: { 1 } (734+1) [657F] B 301 9 Im M2 V

The Importance Index of 1 is not very impressive. The Economic Extension indicates above average resources, low labor available, low infrastructure, and not very efficient. We see that it has a Class A Starport and a tech level of D. Also, it is a captive government (possibly a colony).

I am still trying to piece together the logic of a Class A Starport on a world such as this with that kind of tech level.

Could be a military yard. Think Newport News. The whole place is the yard, and since the crews are not busy the whole time on military projects... small civil projects can be slid in to enhance the budget.
