1 Week Before Release

Spare a thought for the non-US players amongst us who wait for international mail. If Marc is producing the CD's himself, then there may be a delay for the production, the posting, and time taken to travel.
 
Personally, I want a T5 dead tree with MongTrav production values and Library of America-grade editing. The artwork should be done by William H. Keith, simply because that is my wish.

T5 Update

Talked to Marc about T5 today and sorry folks, looks like it's not going to be finished for the 1st of April. Marc is taking the comments of the fans and his playtesters to heart and trying to make the book as complete and stable as possible before releasing it. The book is farther along than it has ever been.

Marc usually tries to send out a monthly email update on the progress, but he's swamped right now trying to get it out and deal with some other stuff so there might not be an email this month.

Bottom line is the expected release date has been pushed back to the end of April. If anyone has preordered and wishes a refund, all you've got to do is drop Marc an email and let him know.

This is not entirely unexpected...

It would be nice if those who preordered could just download the work-in-progress, then get the CD when it's ready. That way, we'd at least have something to look at.

Disappointing, but I'd rather wait another month if that will allow him to "get it right". However, I sure would like to be able to compare it to MGT...
 
Yep, with Mongoose Traveller soon available to play around with, I am not in
any particular hurry to get T5 - somewhen this year will be good enough for
me. :)

Completely his choice on yet another delay. I can't fault MM for delaying, it's his decision, he knows what is best for his product. But, it would have been nice not to learn about this only four days before what he called his, "final date". Nothing like getting our hopes up, since some of us may have assumed a simple "delay" e-mail would have already been sent out before now.:(

I am not expecting it before July......

It will get here when it gets here. In the meantime I still have my 4th edition (all errata corrected) MT rules.

Well some of it anyway..

It's a very good idea. But it would require a server host and some resources and some time and energy, and from what I've heard, poor MWM doesn't have much of that to spare right now.

Yeah, I don't think Marc has sent an e-mail out to anyone this time. The only info I have heard is from Hunters post (above). I don't believe Marc has had time to update the FFE site either. So, you now know pretty much the same as we all do.
