What are they called? I know I have seen their name around, I just can't find it with search.

First, I dunno!

IIRC, there was a story about the start of the Fifth Frontier War about someone coming across some Zhodani infiltrators within the Spinward Marches, and they had some Zhodani currency on them.

Never had my greasy paws on any of the Zhodani material, however.

I suggest the Olympiad.

It represents the strength of Zhodane society as a whole.

Coins depict winners of the Olympic / psionic games.

That's good.

The Olympiad in Zhodani is the Thequzdij, so next would be to find the plural, which I haven't seen in either A06 or AM4.

If the Zhodane currency is the Olympiad...

You don't need a plural (and that may not be their language works - it might be noun first, adjective second like Thequzdij 30,000, as opposed to 30,000 Thequzdij's).

Also, I expect my psionic aliens to talk slightly like yoda.

"Thequzdij 30,000 you ask, cheap it is not."

You're gonna need a nick name. No way low brow, mouth breathing, knuckle dragging Imperials are going to call them Thequzdij on the street...

Good points, I guess it doesn't need a plural.

Hmmmm, colloquial....Quzdi's...Zidi's....

Zidi's I like and if you are way cool: "Zeeds."

Remember Zid Rachelle?

No I don't, who is that?

Here is a scenario, on Chonor you run across a down and out Imperial Citizen and he says:

"Hey my Impi brough-ham, you don't have a few Zeeds you can slide a fellow citizen?"

thus the adventure begins...

Zid Rachelle was a famous terrorist.

He tried to take over an Imperial Naval depot, etc...

He's the villain behind the "A Dagger at Efate" scenario in JTAS where a mercenary cruiser is hijacked and put on a ballistic trajectory towards Efate down starport.

Long dead, today he exists on personality chips, widely distributed for free in the criminal underworld, always available for advice.

His goal is the overthrow of the 3rd Imperium.

At least IMTU.

Ah, I know dagger at efate, sounds like a good adventure hook with the personality chips.

Zeds? (= Zhodani Credits)

I was just thinking the same thing. Only I was going to spell it Zheds.

Of course money can have all kinds of slang names attached to it. The US has greenback or buck, the UK has quid or Bob. The canadian dollar is almost always called a loonie, because our $1.00 coin has a loon on it. The two dollar coin has is called a toonie so that makes canadian money loonie-toonie.

There can be all kinds of great slang terms for Zho money, but of course I can't think of any right now.

1000 quatloos to whoever comes up with the best slang name.

In my Mongoose book, I used the Abradlnad, abbreviated "Ab."...

I dug around in canon looking for a previous mention, and could find none...
