Wonders, wonders, everywhere

In my writeup of Ruie for JTAS Online (), I established that the TAS routinely works out lists of tourist attractions on every world they cover. By age-old tradition, the seven most spectacular of these become known as the wonders of the world in question, regardless of how many (or how few) actually merit such distinction, and came up with a list for Ruie.

I've also made up a couple of wonders for Regina, but not all of them. And then there are all the other worlds, to say nothing of subsectors, sectors, domains, the entire Imperium, and all of Charted Space.

So does anyone have any suggestions for wonders? For Regina, for any other world you care to name, for the Regina subsector, for any other subsector, for the Spinward Marches, for... well you get my drift.

Oh, and canonical wonders too, of course.

Can't remember if there were any cannon wonders here but just doing the Google search with my imagination...here are some...

The Wild Rose Garden of Ruie Prime stretching across the plains of Afar Terran roses sprung up in different geometrical patterns that can be viewed from space. It is unknown by what agency planted these roses. Whether it was rogue Second Imperium colonists or some sort of Ancient intervention or was it even the work of Third Imperium colonists and the records have been lost. Ruie is a home to reknown jazz vocalist, a fiber artist, writer and published poet. Her works and unique voice are in the public catalogue. No artist has ever achieved the same tonality nor pitch, as her vocal cords were strangely mutated. It was speculated that somehow she was a true daughter of one of the disgraced rulers of the subcontinent but something went wrong in the coloning process. She never allowed herself be cloned nor did she ever have any children. Her holorecordings, art are preserved in a museum on Theta Secondus. The museum was designed by the late Dictator of Freedomia as a loving tribute for the People's Number One Artist.

RUIE's "Borisov plant "Avtogydrousilitel" specializes in producing of components of steering gears including steering gears with hydraulic booster and different elements of hydraulic equipment for commercial vehicles, automobiles, buses, trolleybuses and road-building machines. What is amazing about this plant is that it was concieved of an eccentric robotist who wanted to completely automat all production. So that raw material is feed via conveyor and out come completely finished products without any human intervention. A centralized computer scans feeds from X-Boat messages to create unique products catered to the most picky customer.

Excellent! Just the sort of suggestions I was hoping for. But Ruie is the one world in Charted Space for which a list of seven wonders already exists. So if you don't mind, maybe they could be moved to some other world(s)? Unless they are the 8th, 9th, and 10th wonders of Ruie, of course .

Do you still have the ones I did on the RCS playtest list, or would you like them again?

For Regina, the view of Assiniboia (the GG around which Regina orbits) would certainly have to qualify.

For Daryen (the original homeworld of the eponymous human minor race), the ancient fire pits around which their civilization got started would certainly have to qualify.

Not so sure about that one. IIRC (being an ATU guy) the rift is only a few parsecs across. It would make little difference to the sky view (most of the stars we see are more than a few parsecs away).

Of course not, I merely misread the post. I merely typed Ruie into Google, ignored the Traveller entries and let my imagination do the rest. Unlike EDG, I never consider my ideas to be property...Traveller will only grow by sharing.
