General Which Traveller book had a list of books that Traveller was inspired by?

I seem to remember there was a list of novels that inspired Marc Miller for Traveller.

Does anyone else remember this?

Which book would have had that?

"The Science Fiction In Traveller - A Reader’s Guide to Traveller Role-Playing Fiction"

The biggest influence is the Dumarest novels by E.C. Tubb. They literally drip with that Classic Traveller vibe and are excellent to mine for many, many ideas. (I'm half-way through the series and have been taking notes for years).
Space Viking is another.
Little bits from The Mote in God's Eye (perhaps).
Yea, I'd say the Jerry Pournelle novels are straight classic Traveller. They all have that military wargame vibe in space feel that dominates CT.

Marc has mentioned and referenced Pournell/Stirling/Niven's CoDoVerse; Bk4 SCREAMS early CoDo, as in Pounelle and Stirling's Falconberg's Legion series. But Marc didn't list that subset of the CoDoVerse in T5...
Note that the CoDo founded in the Falconberg series is the same one still around in the Moties trilogy.

I think Pournelle's Janissaries comes closer in many respects to Traveller. You have straight up mercenaries working for an alien drug cartel on a low-tech world where they are supposed to take control to supply the raw drug materials in exchange for weapons and "stuff," a highly technical term. Realizing that the cartel plans on snuffing them with illegal nukes once they've supplied all the drugs they can, the mercenaries embark on a scheme to survive that and bring the planet to a point they can force the cartel to negotiate in the future for those drugs.

Think Byzantine cataphracts versus recoilless rifles and machineguns, with starships that those same recoilless rifles can trash if they get in range.
