I just bought my VW CC a year ago and now they come out with the hovercraft! Damn, if I had just waited I would not be stuck with the old school land locked vehicle. I am very pleased with the VW Aqua and will be looking forward to trading in my CC as soon as that becomes an option.

Fuel cell sounds like an environmental touch, but air cushions are far more power hungry than wheels.

They won't legalise ACVs until somebody figures efficient brakes and steering for them - and can you imagine the lawsuits when one of those glides down the high street blowing dust and street debris into the faces of pedestrians?

Looks like a solid skirt, which was superseded in the 50s because flexible skirts are so much more efficient.

Even the most agile of passengers is going to get p***ed off with that hatch after a couple of weeks - not to mention what their hobnail boots will do to the paintwork over the life of the car...

Nice renders just a thought experiment. I like the chinglish commentary on the pics. I wonder if he has problems getting wheel wells right so he made a hovercar.
