[Video] Unboxing T5 deck plans (plus other stuff)

So I wasn't feeling very well today and ended up trying to work from home. And a package arrived from FFE. I dutifully recorded an unboxing video for you guys ... and screwed up the sound. D'Oh! (On the plus side I've gained an additional Marquisate and three Baronies.)

I like the Spinward Marches map with black on white background. Not as luxurious as the 13Mann map but this version will be perfect for making pencil notes on it.

Thanks, Baltech. Glad to be of service. I hadn't thought of using the map for pencil notes ... that could be really handy. Hopefully at some point in the future Marc will make the map available by itself rather than as part of a deck plans pack (you might want a fresh map per campaign).

Sadly I ordered the day before (just 24 hours!) Marc indicated additional nobility cards were to be included when purchasing things (got the Kickstarter notice and immediately upgraded the set) . I did get the Christmas die (yay) but alas, no more cards...and I was looking forward to that. Maybe if I order the T20 CD...

Do the worlds without water show up? It's hard to tell from the video if they have really thin outlines or there's a printing glitch.

I'd say it's a printing glitch. They do show up ... but as impossibly faint circles. If you look closely AND have good light you can just make them out, but in 'normal' viewing they are for all intents and purposes not there. Sorry I didn't pick up on this during unboxing.

Hi all .... My deck plans just showed up today!! I was a KS backer but upgraded to the full set for the extra $12 .... well worth it!

I was very pleased with the quality of the deck plans and will be using them whenever possible in my T5 campaign ... They look like they will work great with my collection of 15mm Traveller miniatures from way back when

The only additional content I would like to have seen is the 'official' T5 ship design stats AND ship hit location sheets ... I know Robject has done an awesome job recreating some of these classic ships in T5 elsewhere on this forum (thank you!) but I still struggle to some degree with the hit location definitions as there is almost no guidance in the T5 BBB .....

Ugh. Turns out it was a subtle travellermap.com bug. The world disc outlines were drawn with "hairline" width, which means "as thin as they can, given the device". On screen, that's one pixel, so it looks fine.. On a home printer it's still pretty visible. On a high-quality commercial printer, it's nearly invisible.

I've fixed this, and Marc's future maps shouldn't have this problem.

My deckplans arrived today in a jiffy bag, I was feeling a bit let down as you had a box, but then I opened it and a blank Viscount card practically jumped out and my delight when off the scale, before I even looked at the plans.
Now I just need to design a TL8 version of the Kinunir as my personal yacht and I can use all the deckplans...

Great news, are there plans to do other Sector's eg Corridor?

I love them. Great to see the Traveller5 logo on new products.
I don't have a problem with the faint circle mentioned in a previous post above.
Yes, it's a very faint circle but it is visible.
Nice product. Glad I ordered it.
