FFE 011 Traveller Collectors' Edition: Alien Modules (5-8) $28 Not Set Yet

*(It's been pretty quiet regarding the release of FFD 005.)*

If the game supplement is causing too much trouble, any chance of jumping to the JTAS/Modules/Alien Modules?

Not that it likely matters, but I would *really* prefer to see the three Modules editions done before the JTAS editions.

So what your telling us is you'd like to see the games reprint sometime soon?

Well so would I.

I also heard rumor (from people who talked to MWM at GenCon) of additional planned reprints, including the FASA and Gamelords CT supplements and the entire T:2300 line (though the latter might be through another company (Heliograph?) rather than FFE). When are we going to get an Official announcement/confirmation of this?

Now, assuming the above is true, all we need is for somebody to hypnotize R*g*r S*ng*r into signing over the rights to the DGP material and we will truly be in Traveller-reprint Paradise.

Tack on a "Best of Judges Guild" (sadly, a thin volume) or just a "Best of the rest" (not much thicker, but would get the inserts from the Grenadier miniature boxes...) and you're seeing material that really is rare.
Add a "Best of the Fanzines" and you're commiting to a multi-volume set. There was some *really* good stuff out there...

Forget the Sanger material, it will probably never see the light of day at this point (though we can always hope...)

As for the JG material, I (QuikLink) own the rights to all of that material. Would someone actually want to see a reprint of that stuff???

I did say it would be a thin book...

several of the plans in Starships & Spacecraft are worth resurrecting (Type A and Type R come immediately to mind), and there are tidbits throughout the other products. All in all, it's probably better to cherry-pick for use in the T20 or T5 lines...

If we're making a clean sweep, a "Brothers Keith Miscellany" volume with the Marischal folio adventures and the Cargonaut Press 'lost supplements' wouldn't hurt, either...

Might as well also throw in a Paranoia Press omnibus edition while we're at it (with a big NON-CANON disclaimer at the front).

Was there anything worth ressurecting from Group One? I never had any of their stuff.

It depends on what's in it. If I'm not mistaken that was the MT era stuff, right? If so, then I personally could care less.

Sanger owns the rights to the DGP material, and it is all rebellion/MT, though perhaps some of the very early material is before the rebellion (honestly I can't remember).

The Judges Guild material is original Classic Traveller, but has been 'decanonized'. We are currently reworking the old JG regions.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I think I'm one of the few people here who really loved the Mega Traveller Era (no joke, I thought it was one of the finest extensions to the CT realm), but a lot of players seem to have some issues with it. If it's not considered to be "officially" part of the Traveller scheme of things, then in my opinion I don't think most people, myself included, would have a great desire for it. It'd be neat to see again, but I'm not in any hurry to see it published again.

The MegaTraveller material is canon, I was referring to the Judges Guild material being 'non-canon'.

Does Roger Sanger own the rights to all the DGP material? If so, that would include Grand Survey, Grand Census and 101 Robots, all of which are intended for CT. Also, the early issues of the Traveller´s Digest were set in the CT era.

Unless the product in question says copyright GDW, Sanger holds the rights. There are a couple of instances where this is the case, the MegaTraveller Journal up to #4 being an example.

MTJ#3 and #4 are copyright GDW; MTJ#1 and #2 are4 copyright DGP. There is at least one article in one of the TDs that is copyright Marc Miller (_A Plague of Perruques_ in TD#11 or #12 or thereabouts).

One thing I'd really, really like to know is the status of the Trojan Reach material published in one of the TDs. It was based on material originally published in a Traveller fanzine whose name I keep forgetting. Depending on the wording of the agreement between Marc Miller and the original fanzine, it may or may not actually be covered by the DGP copyright. Any chance you could ask Marc about it, Hunter?

The original Trojan Reach stuff was by Paranoia Press, don't know about any later fanzine material. I passed an email on to Marc about and will post any reply I get.
