Type S Scout origin theory

Theory:

The creation of the cone shaped Type S Scout, aka the Sylean wedgie, came about after a few traveller players went to the local video game arcade and wasted several dollars worth of quarters on the Asteroid game, after which said players wanted there ship to be just like the one in Asteroids.

IIRC Loren Weisman said that the type S Scout/Courier was invented to fit a neat illo that Bill Keith had submitted to GDW.

I always though the design was inspired by an imperial star destroyer from star wars. (but on a mini scale).
