[Traveller Renaissance] Update your Traveller webpage

Speaking of dusting off sites.... I'm working on giving TravellerMap.com an overhaul to modernize the appearance and improve discoverability and usability. Preview:

It should be tablet and smartphone friendly, so please give those a try as well. It's far more forgiving now, both in terms of technology and having room to plug more features in without overwhelming the user, so tweaks and additions can be done more rapidly. As always, feedback appreciated.

I agree with the sentiments of this thread that we need a one-shot home page for Traveller. http://eaglestone.pocketempires.com/Traveller/ is pretty darn close, and I like the text robject quoted from The Traveller Book (I stole the idea). It'd be nifty if we could make travellerrpg.com a gentle intro that's good for n00bs as well as a portal for grognards.

fabulous site, it's so essential I'd hate to do with out.

you know that other traveller map site? It actually has detailed system data, for each planet in the system beyond the main world. nice little map of the system, details for each planet, and an estimator to calc trip time at various accelerations between the planets.

only other idea would be to make an 'overlay' tool that can center on a selected hex, and visually show hexes within 1-6, kinda nice, maybe make it a on/off toggle with a little selector for jump range.

but really, just what is there already is indispensable!

thanks o/

Thanks a lot. I looks great on iPhone 4s. Good to see the search function. :)
