Traveller Map

One rather stupid question:
As I zoom in on the map I get System Info, IE> Starport,Hydro,GG etc.
Since some of these sectors are generated for 995, 1107, 1201 settings
My question is:
Which setting info?

Which setting info?

Excellent question. Per http://travellermap.blogspot.com/2007/12/were-out-of-beta-were-releasing-on-time.html I've updated the page to include the "metadata" display that's been "in beta" for ages. If you center a world in the view (e.g. double-click it) the footer of the page will light up with additional data, such as the UWP and (if known) the era of the data.

Tagging SEC files of dubious origins with metadata like that has been the most time consuming part of making the site, so it's sparse. Corrections welcome!

Okay, another stupid question:
Is it available, or will it be available, as a download for those of us who don't have internet access at home?

Sorry, no.

Doing it as a web site was a conscious choice: I don't have to worry about cross-platform issues (IE vs. Firefox differences are really minor), I don't have to deal with software installers, I don't have to worry about shipping updates or supporting old versions, and so forth. My career for the past 12 years has been delivering software, both client-side and server-side, and while writing client-side stuff is fun there is no way I could justify that as a hobby and feel any sense of satisfaction with the results.
