Traveller Map Resources

Hello,

I was looking at the Traveller Map. It's HUGE!!! All those star systems.

Is there any digital resource if all this?

I know (think) you can get individual book for the different sectors and sub sectors. Also as long as http://travellermap.com/ is running it will be available. But can you get that with the world data sheets?

Yes you can. There are means by which you can download all the sector data for each star automatically. Campaign Cartography 3 allows you to do a direct download for which ever sector you desire, from Travellermap.com and then generate a Sector Map.

And recently Travellermap added a feature whereby one can have Travellermap generate the sector booklets, with each subsector map and datafile included, without going through CC3.

Look under the "?" symbol, then under "Players and Referees" look at Booklet and Postermakers

But can you get that with the world data sheets?

You currently have to download them one at a time. Under the download button (the one with the down pointing arrow) is an option for "raw sector data" which is the SEC files for each sector and how the map stores and manipulates the data. There is a copy of all the data sheet in the Traveller wiki as well, but again, by sector.

Think of what an AWESOME product it would be to have the TravellerMap.com and the Wiki and it all linked on a CD/DVD/BD.

Click a planet/subSector/Sector and get not only the World Data Sheet but the Wiki synopsis. Of course other publications will have more detailed info but this as a product alone.

What a resource/product that would make!

.... I just revisited travellermap.com after being away for a while .... all I can say is WOW ..... I already knew about the downloadable sector map booklets (I grabbed the 'Trojan Reach' one for my T5 'Pirates of Drinax' campaign a while ago) ... but now you can select an individual world and get the Second Survey system data with definition notes!!! ... WOW . just .. WOW :)
