Traveller Hero Project

with the permission of Marc Miller, we are in the midst of a Traveller to Hero system conversion book in pdf format, that will be a free download at freelance traveller and star hero fandom

the current pdf is just shy of 150 pages, and were always happy for more input on it

were hopefully planning on having it ready around memorial day

Are there any files available anywhere for previewing/playtesting? Otherwise it would be difficult to know where to begin, especially if the project is already advanced (as it sounds).

www.starherofandom.com has a bunch of the basic equipment writeups in the traveller section, and the discussion boards there have an outline and other a lot of the other information, I have a draft version, but its too large to post here I would assume, but I can probably e-mail it

that is freakin awsome! I'm not that much into the hero system(too complicated for my tastes) but I love the idea of traveller for different systems! good work!

theres another update just out, and were up to 176 pages and hoping to have it out in about a month

somebody had commented about extra weapons being confusing, in the Hero system you buy the initial weapon, then another 5 pts gets you 2 total, 10 for 4 total, 15 for 8 etc

I've managed to create the largest and most popular Traveller site on the net and you are using it to promote your project for obvious reasons. Is it too much to ask that you add CotI to the listings of Traveller sites in your PDF in return?

Also note that I've said nothing about pulling your links or asking you to go away.

can I get a get an appropriate blurb for how you want it listed in the pdf?

were going to have a page of resource links and so far have downport and freelance traveller, and marcs far future site.

Nice to see someone taking on this project. It's something that I have been considering for several years but just have never had the time to do.

From my experience the hero system seems to be for 'old school' gamers. There do not seem to be many new players out there willing to put in the time and effort to learn the complexities of the system. A great shame. The revised V5 book being 1.75" thick doesn't exacly invite the casual gamer.
