The Rekobah UWP System Mods.

What follows is my attempt to:

1) Make the POP roll more dependent upon the physical attributes of a world.
2) Make the Starport, Naval Base, and Scout Base rolls dependent upon local system TEC.
3) Make the Gas Giant roll more dependent on system physical features.
4) Add a Ps (Psionics) rating to the trade classification system.

POPULATION (Based on Terrestrial Standard for humans):

1) POP = 2D - (((ABS(SIZ - 8) + ABS(ATM - 6) + ABS(HYD - 7)) / 3) - 1)
2) Round each fraction to its nearest integer.
Note: SIZ, ATM, HYD, and POP belong to the colony world. POP may be as high as B with this system on worlds with the same physical attributes as the colonizing species' home world.

TECH LEVEL (Canon):

1) TEC = 1D + DMs as follows.
2) DM for STP A is +6; B is +4; C is +2; X is -4.
3) DM for SIZ 0 or 1 is +2; for SIZ 2, 3, or 4 is +1.
4) DM for ATM 0 to 3; for ATM A to E is +1.
5) DM for HYD 9 is +1; for HYD A is +2.
6) DM for POP 1 to 5 is +1; for POP 9 is +2, and POP A is +4.
7) DM for GOV 0 and GOV 5 is +1; for GOV D is -2.

TECH LEVEL (IMTU):

1) TEC = 1D + 1 + DMs as follows.
2) (Deleted)
3) DM for SIZ 0 or 1 is +2; for SIZ 2, 3, or 4 is +1.
4) DM for ATM 0 to 3; for ATM A to E is +1.
5) DM for HYD 9 is +1; for HYD A is +2.
6) DM for POP 1 to 5 is +1; for POP 9 is +2, and POP A is +4.
7) DM for GOV 0 and GOV 5 is +1; for GOV D is -2.

E/H H - N N N N N Poor
X/Y Y 0 N N N N N None</pre>[/QUOTE]Spaceport & Starport Notes (IMTU):

· Spaceport and starport construction depends heavily on local system TEC levels. Exceptions are made for systems of strategic economic or military value.

· Spaceports are type F, G, and H; can be found on the main world if local TEC is 7; and can be found on other worlds of the same system only if local TEC is 8+.

· Starports are type A, B, C, D, and E; can be found on the main world if local TEC is 8+; and can be found on other worlds of the same system only if local TEC is 9+.

· Type 0 means that the local TEC level is insufficient for constructing either a spaceport or a starport, and that neither has yet been constructed.

· Type X means that the local TEC level is sufficient for a starport, and that one has not yet been constructed.

· Type Y means that the local TEC level is sufficient for a spaceport, and that one has not yet been constructed.

GAS GIANT (IMTU):

1) Roll 2D.
2) Add DMs for star type and system configuration.

3) If result is 5+, then at least one gas giant is present.
4) Roll 1D.

Note (IMTU): Two small gas giants (SGG) equal one large gas giant (LGG); consequently, the Sol system could have 3 LGGs or 6 SGGs, but has 2 LGGs and 2 SGGs instead.

TRADE CLASSIFICATION (Canon):

Ag: ATM is 4 to 9; HYD is 4 to 8; POP is 5 to 7.
As: SIZ is 0.
Ba: POP is 0; GOV is 0; LAW is 0.
De: ATM is 2+; HYD is 0.
Fl: ATM is A+; HYD is 1+.
Hi: POP is 9+.
Ic: ATM is 0 or 1; HYD is 1+.
In: ATM is 0, 1, 2, 4, 7, or 9; POP is 9 or A.
Lo: POP is 0 to 3.
Na: ATM is 0 to 3; HYD is 0 to 3; POP is 6 to A.
Ni: POP is 0 to 6.
Po: ATM is 2 to 5; HYD is 0 to 3.
Ri: ATM is 6 or 8; POP is 6 to 8; GOV is 4 to 9.
Va: ATM is 0.
Wa: HYD is A.

TRADE CLASSIFICATION (IMTU add the following to Canon):

Ps: POP is 8+; Roll 2D for 12+, DM +1 per level of POP above 8.

This procedure gives the same results as the canonical procedure, and includes the possibility of a POP-8 world having psionic activity. It also allows for known psionic activity to be included in a world's UPP (at the referee's discretion, of course).

A POP-8 world has a 2.78% chance of having a Psionic Institute.
A POP-9 world has a 8.33% chance of having a Psionic Institute.
A POP-A world has a 16.7% chance of having a Psionic Institute.
A POP-B world has a 27.8% chance of having a Psionic Institute.

Very very interesting, it sure does help, hehe i often have been caught on the spot when you read a planets UWP and ur players look at you like ur smoking crack heheh especially when u get one of those balkanized or oligarcy planets that are super large water worlds with a pop of 1 heheheh
