TA5 Cover (B/W)

"Lawrence of Penelope" anyone? The chap with the goggles is clearly an Imperial army officer on special assignment, leading his Jonkereen troops (no goggles needed) into battle during one of the Frontier Wars.

Hi Hunter,

Could one of your guys make an Avatar (Identy picture for the COTI boards) head shot of the center figure of TA5 cover B/W?

It looks cool. :D

Nice cover. Tell Paul Daly "Nicely done!" for me, please. And yes, please make an avatar (in color, from the final illos.) out of it! ;)

Very nice. Keep up the excellent work. Keep these artists producing such works and we will have a hit. Avoid the images like what has been proposed for the Ref's Screen or first draft of The Traveller's Handbook, which I think as the feedback showed was too cartoonish.

However, is this the TA cover or the description for the Jonkeen that will appear in the Gateway sourcebook?

Hmm - these "Jonkeen" (must do a Google on that word)... from a low-tech desert world in the Gateway Domain, you say? I think one of my player's characters may have just found his homeworld...

Sir,

They're a failed Imperial human geneering project. Well, maybe failed is too harsh a word, but the project didn't live up to expectations.

Jonkereen(?), I don't exactly remember the spelling either, don't get along with the rest of humanity very well. They would make very a nice 'prickly' or 'aloof' type charecter for any player!

Sincerely,
Larsen

Now it'll be hard to get the word "Fremen" from my thoughts...
Actually (belive it or not), the Fremen never (conciously) occured to me during writing, though with hindsight I do see some similarities.

Oh, and Paul Daly has done a *perfect* job - I love the cover! Can't wait to see the colour version!

(sorry - my first to-be-published work, so I'm all over-entusiastic about it!

Glad you like it, Paul does great stuff! Chad (who has colored just about all of our stuff) will be doing the coloring so the finished piece should turn out quite striking.

The cover made me think of Fremens... Dunno why but every "arab-like" character reminds me of Fremens

Hey, Shane! It's yours, hmm? Maybe it'll be the first TA I buy!
I hope you buy mine.

I have a PDF subscription and it looks like I'll be buying them all in print form as well. Aw well, that's dedication (or stupidity, I'm not sure which.)

All these Traveller's Aides are tempting my wallet. But, I am currently strapped for cash... Is there still going to be a Best Of TA in Dead Tree format, as that is where my money is going to...
