T5 submissions?

Who do I talk to about submitting material for T5? Do I send it directly to Avery, or is there someone else in line here?

Thanks for any reply.

I guess what I'm asking is if Mongoose is still the only game in town. I've sent several emails via their website, but never got a response until I broached the subject with Matt on this BBS.

If there are other companies out there with a T5 License, or if Avery/MMiller is going to do the Hunter Gordon thing here, then I'd love to pitch some ideas.

Actually, SPICA's Field Manual is OTU, using the Foreven license. That's a path you can take for OTU-ness.

And, if you cannot get Matthew's attention, drop me an e-mail at don.mckinney@gmail.com, and I'll help you get his attention.

And if you have a T5 idea and aren't getting Marc's attention, drop me an e-mail and I'll help you get that too.

Well, I sent Matt's website a number of queries, and he said he never got any of them, and then some of the people who work with him never responded to any of my PMs. I then broached the subject here on this BBS, and the response was he couldn't pay me.

When Hunter was still doing Traveller here circa 2001 up to 2008 or 2009, he and I discussed possible material he would have liked to have seen or would consider accepting for publishing. Fiction was one, but that was on the "not yet" list, and of course the other was equipment and adventures. But life got weird, and Hunter left the Trav industry.

So, that's my situation. Take it for what it is.

Is there no one else with out there with a T5 license who's publishing material?

Nobody has a T5 license.

I've mailed Marc a few times over the past couple of years about doing sourcebooks and whatnot for T5, but I've not received a response.

It is true that no one has a T5 license yet (outside of Greylock's limited license), that isn't connected with Marc's responses to you. Without breaking my promises to either Matthew or Marc, I can state that you have had responses. You may not have liked them, but Marc has not ignored you.

Any chance you two could please take this point of discussion private, instead of arguing in front of us children? You're not aiding anything *for us* by talking about it in public.

I guess my real question is what's the status of T5 in terms of third party addons. Is it a case of where anybody can apply for a license as long as they pay a fee, or are there going to be special arrangements made for specific companies?

My guess is that no one yet has a T5 license, is that correct?

That is correct, and interested parties should contact Marc directly. I've pointed people to Marc (farfuture@gmail.com) and when I'm aware of efforts to work with him, I make sure to remind him to respond quickly.

Note that responses are unlikely for the next two weeks, as Marc is going on vacation. Kickstarter backers are aware of his vacation plans.

Okay, well, that better explains the situation with T5. I'd buy one myself, but at present I simply don't have the resources to purchase one, which is why I was hoping to find someone who had an official T5 license.

Do you know what his position regarding adventure modules submissions (or self published) is/will be?

Anyone interested in business activities with Marc needs to talk to him directly. Don never gives out dates, and Don is not an FFE partner.
