T5 any new adventures from marc?

The single biggest factor which would make me buy T5 would be a new original adventure from Marc in the old style. Anyone know if there is any chance of this?

To my knowledge T5 does not yet have a setting defined, which would make an adventure a bit problematic.

I believe that Robject is the playtest lead, soperhaps he can shed some light on this.

Yeah, this is what I'd like to see, too. A discussion on COTI ahwile back kicked around potential themes for some linked introductory scenarios or adventures. I told Marc about it, but no committments.

Of course, it seems that rules and adventures are somewhat decoupled nowadays, so that you could probably buy T5 adventures and run them in whatever system you prefer with few adjustments.

Robject,

An introductory adventure would be a strong selling point, just as long as it isn't yet another reworking of Exit Visa! ;)

Have fun,

The best thing that Marc could do is rework Operation Repo into a generic Traveller setting. Calling the Vargr, the forces of the Black and have the players being the Knights of the White. Leaving almost everything else intact, as that was one adventure that introduces many different aspects of the game under one roof. And, given RS has given Marc a free hand, he could dispense with permissions and all that.

Heck, if he wants, I will rewrite it.

"RS has given Marc a free hand"

This must be totally new. I never heard this to be so.

I thought that T5 was going to have a setting revolving around Milieu 200 - and the war with the Julian Protectorate as has this been scrapped.

Milieu 200 is one of many potential settings, mentioned specifically by Colin on Traveller5.com several years ago. But, there has been no news since.

Lando,

No.

T5 has a projected release date of 2007 while versions like CT, MT, GT, and T20 are all available now.

Check out what is available then make your decision based on the needs of you and your players. Go to FFE and purchase the Reprints, go to RPGnet and purchase T20, go to SJGames and purchase GT, go out and buy a version that exists now so you can start playing now.

Then, when it is released, check out T5.

Have fun,

Yea, that's exactly what I was thinking myself. Thanks for the input, alas, I don't have any players for Traveller, just want to play it myself again, so came here looking for a game or group possibly.

Thought about getting the T20 pdfs or the CT reprints since those are the two I've experience with.

CT on CD-ROM, if you prefer something extremely compact and printable.

I noticed those on the Far Future site, so you'd recommend it then? </font>[/QUOTE]Nobody can recomend it. Everyone is still waiting for its actual release. Nov.1 became mid-Dec and it is still MIA as of Jan. 1, 2007.

The CT CD-ROMs have been delivered. Several folks have received them already. I'm still waiting for mine.

Really? What's your source for this info? Just wondering as I've not seen one post to that effect on the many Traveller boards I frequent.

Still IMpatiently waiting in antici

Now how'd I miss that?
Thanks for heads up.
