T5.10 Suggestion!

Howdy Folks,

I'm a little out of touch as I only have the 5.0 hardback version and suspect things have moved on in 5.09.

I recently had another read through the 5.0 rules to determine whether I should jump on the new kick starter.

One thing that became apparent is the lack of pre-generated equipment and starships from the various makers.

I think if 5.10 included all the weapons, armour, common vehicles and starships pre-made from CT it would make a big difference.

The reason for this is that a potential purchaser would be able to easily take advantage of existing material that's already out there.

I know this might go a little against the tool-kit approach of T5, but I think it would save many prospective players a lot of time as we simply want to use the system to delve into the 3rd Imperium.

This would be nice, and I agree with it, for assorted definitions of "all" and "pre-made from CT".

But at the same time, it would be an interesting board exercise where the list is presented, and folks publish their versions of the various bits -- assuming the T5x rules cover the design as such.
 
True, plus it would help with folks learning the mechanics.

I had a think about this after I posed the idea and realised that T5 really is a toolkit to any Sci-Fi universe that one can think of.

It's almost like T5 would be better served by a companion 3rd Imperium book that would include premade starships, vehicles and equipment from that campaign.

It could also contain the necessary maps and history to help new players and referees settle in.

The released TOC for T5.10 mentions a table of pre-build guns and armor.

With any luck, those will be the CT "standard" weapons we've all used for decades.
