There were some "just after Christmas" rumblings but they never said which year.
Seems like this should be made a "sticky", with perhaps at least quarterly, and/or semi-annual updates on things completed, and/or progress towards the end goal.
I'm interested in finding out about the 5.1 release date/project as well, and perhaps what will be included in it.
Haven't read much on what is being worked on, and/or what is needed for the new version, other than perhaps an index. I suspect perhaps someone's come up with at least a rough one for that by now.
Any thought being given to breaking up the very large/thick tome, to make it a bit more manageable to use too, like CT was back in the day, with the three books?

Do you find it likely that we will even see a 5.1? I received a notification from Marc Miller for a Mongoose Traveller expansion kickstarter called the Great Rift.
Seeing 5.1 would be a great thing, I hope it comes out.
I know that this past February, Marc sent out an email that included the line "By the Way, if you backed the Kickstarter, we are currently working on the Audiobook, and expect it will be out in April? " and the question mark was in the original, it's July now, and I don't think the Agent of the Imperium audiobook has been released yet. My impression is that he's a one-man band, and full marks for effort, but he's got a few irons in the fire.

A quick question regarding v5.1...
Over on the Traveller facebook group somebody asked which version is the latest one. Many replies (including mine) stated that the latest version is 5.09.
However, the latest PDF update (759 pages) clearly states on page 4 "Print Edition 5.1".
Is this a typo? Or was it included in advance of the final version being published? Or is this latest version indeed v5.1?

huh, I haven't seen that. What if 5.1 is already out and we just didn't know it?:rofl:
On a 'somewhat' related note - is there any word on which way some of the 5.0 and 5.09 differences are going (for example, Scouts having a fixed apply target with a retry, or able to select from 3 attributes)?
I'm gearing up to run T5, and at this point, I look at both versions, both errata, and sometimes a draft and make a call on what I think the RAI is, but I wonder if there have been any statements from People Who Know, as to what's in 5.1.

I've not seen a 5.1 PDF yet, and usually, I get them before they go to DTRPG.

I personally think it might have been a slight oversight, but on page 4 of the 759 page PDF (the last update I received) it says "Print Edition 5.1". I still refer to it as 5.09 though, until an official announcement is made.
