Spinward Ho! (New Traveller Fanzine)

Richard

(There's been some discussion of this already, but I thought it really needed its own thread)

I am hereby announcing the launch of ‘Spinward Ho!’, a free-PDF netzine to cover Traveller, in all its forms and glory. This magazine will be released 3 – 4 times, a year, depending on submissions, and will shoot for about 24 – 40 pages of content in each issue, again depending on submissions. The format will be similar to the long-running netzine ‘OD&DITIES’, covering OD&D, and will be available from the following URL: http://www.tongue.fsnet.co.uk/traveller.html

The magazine will principally cover CT and T20, though articles for other systems will certainly be accepted. We aim to cover a mix of milieus, but I imagine that the main focus of our content will be on the T20 and CT timeframes. Basically, ‘Spinward Ho!’ will be an open church – anything on any type that you send in will be considered for publication. Adventures, rules suggestions, setting detail, landgrabs, even short stories are fine for the magazine. One thing we will need is artwork, both for the cover and internally – so if there are any budding artists out there, please get in touch!

As the moment, I’m aiming to get the first issue out of the door in June, though an earlier release is certainly not out of the question. So, any comments, thoughts, ideas, suggestions, artwork – and articles? We've already got some exciting stuff coming up - but everything is needed!

Richard.

That link should be a .html on the end, not .htm.

I have a few ideas on contributions, I'll get back to you on them. I have a few things pretty much ready to go that wouldn't fit into JTAS or anything QuikLink is doing.

this looks great . i may have some contributions when i get round to putting ideas on paper....
but meanwhile , how will i get to read it ? do we visit the site to download ? is there a mailing list ?

all the best and thanks for your effort and energy !

It'll be posted for download on the website, when ready. I've corrected the URL so you should be able to get to it now. I'm hoping to have the first issue up in early June - we've got some excellent pieces in already...

Richard Tongue,
Editor, Spinward Ho!

Okay, I've posted there.
