I hate to say it Chron, but I've got a photocopy of a magazine article from around 1980 that has "Seven League Boots". The article is by a guy called Lance White but I don't know from which magazine. There are four A5 sides of extra kit written up by Dave Kelly and Lance White. Controlled Nuclear Warheads, Phasers, Auto-Lasers, Blasters...... I remember running a game when a player fired a CNW at a target that used Telekenisis to point it right back at him. The good old days of Hard SF

Cool though I was just making a joke though mainly because I didnt think anyone would use the cartarage powered jump boot <I believe> from the Super Mario Brothers movie I just think it would be funny to see them used in the traveller universe is all.

I've not seen the movie but can picture the boots. I can also picture Battle Dress troops from a world that never developed CG using these things instead of hops with grav belts

I like the idea of jump boots. I love new ways to mess with players. The boots remind me of Heinliens starship troopers. The book, not that horrible movie. The suits gave them the ability to leap great distances, but not fly.
