Something I don't understand

Daddicus

SOC-13
Please refer to the Spacers steps on page 89 and the career instructions for armed forces on page 73. Several places specify that the risk/reward rolls are made once per term.

The instructions on page 89 (3rd paragraph in the left column) specify "Four times per term, the Spacer rolls the type of Naval Operation." So, there are 4 rolls there.

However, looking under the Naval Operations table, it says that the mod applies to risk and reward. How can one roll four times and get mods that apply to only one risk/reward set of rolls?

I checked the errata and couldn't explain the discrepancy. I'm obviously missing something.

Help! :)

OK, that makes some sense. And I think I found my answer to that other question (medals and wound badges give modes for promotions).

One last question (yeah, right!): Where does it specify to take the biggest mod of the four operations mods?

OK, one last question: The medals table (page 109) goes from C-R values 1 through 12+. If your C-R comes up less than 1, it would imply you don't get any medal, despite making the reward roll.

Is this correct? I couldn't find any examples with negative results.

To my knowledge, that is correct. Just a campaign ribbon. "Thanks for playing-here's your ribbon."
