Slaving

No, not that kind.

What are the rules (if any) for slaving multiple ships together so that they all jump at the same time and (should) arrive at the same point?

Essentially, this would be the same software and coordination used for fleet jumps.

I"m doing this in a GT:IW era, if that makes a difference.

No official rules that I recall but we did talk about something like this I think in the thread about more computer programs a while back.

And T20 has slave and master computer systems that might be able to do what you're thinking.

I'd probably just make up some rules on the spot. Max slaved craft being limited by computer probably. As in the total tonnage of all ships under control of one would have to be within the capability of the controlling computer. If you follow.

CT for example:

A 10,000ton ship requires a minimum model/4. Our example 10,000ton ship has a model/6. So it could slave up to a total of 90,000tons of other ships (total 100,000tons).

Said slaved ships would have to have a working computer for control to work.

Something like that.

Said rules are in MTQ&A in one of the DGP pubs (Later in TD or in MTJ).

Basically, all the ships arrive in a 10 hour window from the original plot, which must be broadcast to the others involved.
