Colin: your tone is a bit harsh, and we should not be discussing individual poster's track records in the open.

Maybe so, but he has been going on about this for quite some time, and it is time to stop.

In my opinion, the poll is pretty conclusive. Currently 30 votes posted, 29 for reports remaining anonymous and 1 against. I'd say that means that the people say that reports should be anonymous. There again, the board is based on the "one man, one vote" system. Hunter is the man and he has the vote.

(with thanks to Terry Pratchet ;))

Both of my infractions for you came from your postings on the Mongoose Traveller section of this site.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what most of the admin section looks like. This, and copies of reported post reports, and warning and infraction notices.

And the occasional suggestion for Hunter, made to keep it from becoming a public pressure situation. (Yes, I've suggested a feature to hunter for the board, yes, you WILL love it, especially tech heads, and No, I'm not telling, because I have no idea if hunter will implement it.)

maybe we should all retire to our corners and start again later. perhaps we can argue over canon logic between the price difference between combat armor and battledress in CT. Then we can debate exactly what gear is on a set of imperial battledress. will be like old times.

Cool. I'm up for it. I missed that debate in my 'old times'. If you will start the topic, I'll show up. :)

Said the little mod to the big mod.

To Hunter, the mods and all who read this thread.

This is shows what I was refering to in the Venting Thread. There is not a uniform set of guidelines for all the mods to follow.

After discussions with several mods and users on this forum, I decide to push contact with Hunter, just for this reason.

I got my talk with Hunter, but we will see if any changes are made or we still have abritary rulings and opinions from the mods. Some of the issues needed to be addressed, that is not my issue. But when one mod warns, and another mod gives you an infraction for the same thing and then a 3rd say, it was not so bad but it was getting close, THAT IS A Problem.

Yes, it is rare that the mods have to take action. But when they have taken it, its actions/reasons has been different depending on whom (mod or Hunter) does the nailing for warnings or infractions.

Hunter, I know that you are busy with some updates/changes of this forum and some other work related stuff, but please email me with your comments on my opinions in my last email.

Thanks

Dave Chase

Oh...misunderstanding. I thought you meant the Mongoose Traveller forum at the Mongoose site.

I've definitely been guilty of deserving some warnings, and when that happens, I take it as an adult and try to keep coloring within the lines.

But...you know how I felt about those warnings. I didn't know that they originated with you, but they were a stretch (as in "arguable if an infraction was made") and a bit silly (as in "what the warnings were for").

I not arguing with you. What's done is done. I'm just stating what I thought of them.

I agree. This is all silly bickering. It is tiring.

I think I'll refrain from further non-Traveller specific arguments for now.
